About the Research Associate/Scientist Role:
We are looking for an experienced bench scientist to lead the development and operation of our automated NGS library preparation and sequencing pipelines. The ideal candidate is excited by new technology, thrives on new challenges and is motivated to deliver world-class new product.
Responsibilities include:
Working as part of a small team to manage our automated NGS sequencing pipeline.
Development of novel automation protocols.
R&D on fundamental NGS library preparation protocols.
Quality control
Key Qualifications
5+ years’ experience working on NGS or high-throughput lab development
High throughput Automation experience
Basic scripting and bioinformatics skills (python preferred)
BL2 experience
Able to lift 50lbs
Able to work with a clear set of directions and little oversight
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative and ownership in a fast-paced start-up environment.
BS, MS, or PhD in Molecular Biology or a similar field preferred
